ECOLOGICAL WETROOM: EXPERIMENTAL CYANOTYPE (PART I & II)

AINDREAS SCHOLZ & NICOLE TANNEBERGER

Join photographer and researcher Aindreas Scholz for a two-day experimental workshop exploring everything from the creation of experimental cyanotypes to the development of your own folded book, leporello, or small artist’s book.

Participants are introduced to cyanotype through its  historical importance and its contemporary ecological implications. They then make climate  adapted cyanotypes, observe the washwater produced by the process, and test a small DIY  filtration approach as an accessible way to begin discussing material responsibility.

Day 1 – Climate-Adapted Cyanotype and The Ecological Wetroom™
Introduction to historical and contemporary cyanotype, creation of experimental works, exposure using natural daylight and UV light, as well as an introduction to cyanotype wash water, DIY filtration, and hydroponic systems.

Day 2 – Book Design and Bookbinding
Selection, arrangement, and processing of the created cyanotypes into a leporello, artist’s book, or another folded publication format under Nicole’s guidance.

The workshop will take place with at least 2 binding registrations.

Dates: Saturday 05.12.2026 & Sunday 06.12.2026
Time: 11:00 – 18:00 & 09:00-12:30
Fee: €250 (for both days)
Participants: Up to 10 (minimum 2 registrations required)

Tag 1 – Klimaadaptierte Cyanotypie und The Ecological Wetroom™

Termine: Samstag, 05.12.2026 & Sonntag, 06.12.2026
