In 2025, the association eop (Emergence of Projects) will host a pop-up exhibition at OpenCave under the dual theme »Life After Extinction« and »Cave Painting«. More than 20 artists explore how cave painting can be reimagined today, employing analog photo graphic techniques such as the enduring cyanotype, designed to outlast generations. Central questions arise: What should survive us? What truly matters? What are we searching for? The approaches could hardly be more diverse. Curated with great openness by Michael Bachofer, the exhibition addresses a wide audience, reflecting the diversity of the participants them selves. Methods range from silver gelatin to alternative photographic processes, hybrid formats, and analog projections.

About the eop:

Emergence of Projects (eop), founded in 2003 by Helga Köcher, is an open, transdisciplinary network. Artists, scientists, and cultural practitioners meet, discuss projects, and initiate collaborations. As a process-oriented »brain trust«, eop brings together diverse expertise to form vibrant structures.

Supported by: Donaustadt-Kultur, ARTist and Viennabase – Homes for Students.
