The project explores the shifting relationship between mankind and nature, mapping a dystopian environment while questioning how we perceive and understand technical images.
As the technosphere expands and urban environments replace natural habitats, the boundary between natural and artificial becomes increasingly blurred. The series imagines a future where plants are rare, while virtual vegetation generated by augmented reality appears alongside them, nearly indistinguishable from living organisms.
Combining documentary aesthetics with staged scenes, the photographs challenge the objectivity of the medium. Merging analog and digital, real and virtual layers, the series reflects a postanthropocene condition and questions the perceptual and epistemological status of technical images.
